These movies were created by the third and fourth grade student in Mr. Townsend's 1994-95 class. They were used by the P.E. teacher, Mr. Elston, to teach his gymnastics unit. Using a computer in the gym, students could see how to perform the various moves.
Each student was responsible for writing the script, directing the filming, and editing the final movie. We filmed with Sony Handicams and digitized the video using a Mac computer with only 5mgs of RAM and a 40mg hard drive. This is why the movies are so small. The film clips and narration were edited using Premiere. Back then, this was all cutting edge technology.
