I taught first grade from 1983 - 1990,
second grade from 1990 - 1991,
and grades 3 or 4 from 1991 - 1998.

After graduating with a teaching degree from EWU in 1983, I took a teaching position with the Battle Ground School District. I taught grades 1 through 4 at Glenwood Heights Elementary School for 15 years. During that time I introduced students and teachers to cutting edge technologies. My students wrote and designed a Web site all about Clark County with over 450 pages detailing its history, wildlife, and flowers.

We made many multimedia programs including QuickTime movies that taught other students various physical education skills. This is every day stuff now, but in the mid-90's our 'souped up' computers had 8mg of RAM and a special card that could digitize video. We made digital movies that displayed a bit larger than a postage stamp.
